Blueberry Green is a company specializing in the home cinema, home automation and lighting market but also run an electrical department which compliments the business. This means that we are able to install, test and issue safety certificates without the need to employ third party electricians or like a lot of the competion, work on domestic electrical circuits without being Part P registered which is illigal. We will also undertake most types of commercial or industrial electrical contracts.

The only thing we do sub contract is the plastering but again we do this and we only use the best.

Rewires

We can offer you a complete rewire which will include a new consumer. This is the time for you to add all the extra cabling that will enable you to take advantage of all the integrated home technology on the market. We can run in cat 5e or greater cables for hd distribution, networking cables, Speaker and much more.

Lighting

Indoor or outdoor lighting can be installed for you. There are various options you can choose, from standard ceiling pendants to a full automated system. All outdoor lighting will be inline with current regulations ( rcd protected and cable burried to a depth of 600mm )

 Consumer Units                                                                                                                                       

Your consumer unit can be upgraded to the latest Rcd protected type. This means that should your electrical system develop a fault then the Rcd will trip and could save a life. Pricing on installing these depends on how many circuits your home has so will usually require a site visit. We would always recommend that a saftey electrical report is carried out on the installation first. This is because if there are any faults in your system this can be brought to your attention first and will not result in an extra cost being incured by yourselves as your safety certificates can only be issued if no faults are present.

Kitchen Rewires

If you are having a new kitchen fitted or just want your kitchen's electrical system updated then give us a call. Again there are many options open to you from led under cabinet lighting, ceiling mood lighting, kitchen av installs and much more.

Bathroom Rewires

During your bathroom re-model there is a whole host of items that can be installed that you may not even be aware of. Our company can install lights that come on when you touch a tile rather than the usual old fashion light switch, water proof tv's so you can watch your favourite channel while having a soak, led lighting mounted behind glass tiles and water proof ceiling speakers operated via in wall ipod / iphone docks. Or just a simple light and switch. 

Electric Shower's

If you already have the cables for the shower installed then we can come simply remove your old one and replace with new ( the only thing to be aware of is if your existing cable is a 6mm one you will not be able to have one of the newer 10kw plus showers due to the existing cable not being able to cope with the power ).                                                    If you need a new cable ran in then this will not be a problem even if your consumer unit is not Rcd protected ( latest regualations state that your new shower will have to be Rcd protected ) as we can install a separate shower specific consumer unit to take care of this regulation. You will then be able to run the latest high power showers.

Blueberry Green is a Part P registered company through Napit. For those who are either unsure or unaware of what this means for you then below is a brief explaination for you.

 In may 2003 the government announced that it was introducing a new part to the building regulations, Part P, which would bring domestic electrical installations in England and Wales under the legal frame work of the building regulations. It will, for the first time, place a legal requirement for safety upon electrical installation work in dwelings.                It was announced that Part P would only be introduced in law when self-certification schemes were in place to ensure competency of all work undertaken. These schemes are now in place and have been since 2005.                                                                   A list of the companys that an electrical engineer will need to be registered with in order to self certify are

BRE Certification Ltd, BSI, ELECSA, NICEIC and NAPIT ( who we are registered with )

 All of our work will be tested to bs7671 and the relevant certificates will be issued.

All industrial and commercial electrical installations are tested to bs7671
