HDMI distribution

We can install various options for routing your hd video signal round your home

There are two main types of system for extending the video signal and distributing it around the home or work place. The options you have are

Single wire and twin wire

The twin wire system will involve the running of twin cat5e cables to all the desired location. The signal will be sent from a HDMI matrix switcher via twin cat5e cable and then converted back to a HDMI cable via the signal receiver then plugged into the TV or projector.

The single wire system ( HDBaseT ) is the latest system developed by Sony, Samsung ect. This system will involve the running of a single cat5e to all the desired locations. Again the signal will be sent from the HDMI matrix switcher via the cat5e cable and then converted back to a HDMI cable via the signal reciever then plugged into the TV or projector.

The advantages of using HDBaseT are

1. Will support the up coming 4k super hd TV's so is future proof as well as the latest 3d 1080p signals

2. The system has a built in IR function

3. Internet access on the back of the receivers. So the latest internet tv's just plug into this

4. Instant video switching between inputs via U-HDCP

You can view the system on www.hdanywhere.co.uk

The different things you can do with the HDMI signal are below

HDMI switch, this is a device which simply put allows you to connect multiple HDMI devices to a single screen

HDMI Splitter, This will enable you to split one source to many screens

HDMI switch splitter, being a combination of the two above options this will allow you to connect multiple HDMI devices and have a single output which can then be spit to multiple screens

HDMI matrix, This piece of equipment will allow you to view any hdmi source on any screen. For example if you spec a 4x4 matrix then this will enable you to connect 4 hdmi sources ( bluray, sky hd, hd media server and ps3 ) and watch them on any of the 4 screens which are connected to the matix. All is controlled via an ir magic eye to allow the user the use of remote controls.

HDMI extenders, For anything over 15m then we recommend the use of a HDMI extender. This will convert and send the signal down cat5e / 6 cable and allows the cable runs to be greatly increased with no loss of signal quality. All is controlled via an ir magic eye to allow the user the use of remote controls.

All our work comes with a 5 year guarantee and all equipment carries a full manufacturer's warranty.
